Warwick Valley Poets present Paul Kane, Sat., May 21st, 4PM
The Warwick Valley Poets will present Paul Kane as the featured poet on Sat., May 21st, at 4PM at the College of Poetry in Warwick, NY.
Paul Kane has published five collections of poems, most recently Work Life and A Slant of Light, as well as The Scholar’s Rock, a selected poems in Chinese translation. His work has appeared in various journals, including Poetry, The Paris Review, The Kenyon Review, Verse, The New Criterion, The New Republic and Grand Street. In addition to volumes of poems, he has published eight other books, including A Hudson Landscape, a collaboration with the photographer William Clift, and Ralph Waldo Emerson: Complete Poems & Translations (co-edited with Harold Bloom). Educated at Yale University, he also studied at the University of Melbourne as a Fulbright scholar to Australia. Other awards include fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Guggenheim Foundation. He has taught at Yale University and Monash University (Australia) and is currently Professor of English at Vassar College. He lives with his wife, Tina, in Warwick, NY.
